Spring is always such a beautiful time with the start of warmer days and cool nights. Spring also celebrates the start of the wedding season too. So get an early start on your complexion this spring by investing with Rejuvenated Collagen Shots and a good skin care routine.

This is about the time the long pants come off and out come the short shorts, and whoa definitely time to get rid of that dry, scaly skin! Start off with a good exfoliating routine with our Peppermint or Vanilla Bloom Body Polish at least twice a week and don't forget to moisturise every day. We've created a quick Spray On Moisturiser which is just perfect for when you jump out of the shower - just spray over your body and rub in, how easy is that.

Start getting into the routine by exfoliating your face 2-3 times a week with our Facial Polish and invest in a good mask for those lazy Sunday afternoons. Personally, I just love spritzing my face with toner before the serious stuff goes on and it's the perfect way to re-balance your skins pH. Next, restore moisture with a good quality serum and moisturiser, whether you choose to use products that treat your skin type or products that treat your skin condition - either way your complexion will begin to glow.

Let's shed that winter skin and start glowing into spring!

How to Treat Your Skin in the Winter Months

There are a few contributing factors why in the colder months our skin starts to appear dry with white scaly patches and even worse for some, winter brings on itchy and inflamed skin.

During the winter months there is less humidity in the air so being exposed to the elements outside can lead to very dry skin, chapping and serious loss of moisture. Reaching for the lip balm yet?

Taking hotter and longer showers, who isn't right? As tempting as it is to turn up the temperature in the shower, this is another sure way to dehydrate your skin.

Our skin starts to get exposed to extra heating in the car, or in the office and at home. By blasting the air conditioners this leads to dehydrating your skin over time too.

So what can you do?

Don't be afraid to leave some excess water on your skin after your shower and rub your moisturiser in straight away, this is a great way to lock in extra hydration your skin desperately needs.

Select products with aqua to re-hydrate your skin and humectants like glycerine to help draw in moisture from the air onto your skin. Nourishing oils and butters will create a barrier over your skin reducing trans-dermal water loss.

Our water intake during the winter months do tend to drop, a lovely hot cup of tea or coffee is a little more tempting so by adding supplements to your daily diet like Rejuvenated Collagen Shots and H3O Hydration is a great way to nourish your skin from the inside out.

Stay warm and use the above tips to help your skin survive the winter season.
